Marley Park's Heritage Pool House Opens at the Surprise Arizona Home Community

New Amenity Provides Residents Year-Round Recreational Opportunities in a Farm-Inspired Setting

SURPRISE, AZ (April 14, 2008) - Marley Park residents joined in Saturday's grand opening celebration of the Heritage Pool House, a private recreational facility for residents that offers year-round opportunities for swimming, playing, entertaining and relaxation. The new amenity for Marley Park, a DMB community with new homes in Surprise, AZ, is situated on approximately 2 acres and located adjacent to the community's Heritage Club. The Heritage Pool House includes a recreational play pool, lap pool, outdoor event lawn, a multi-purpose room, a fire pit, ramadas, barbecues and meeting space.

"With indoor and outdoor living spaces, the Heritage Pool House is designed to be an extension of the Heritage Club and provide a welcoming gathering place where family, friends and neighbors can feel right at home," said Kelsea Vescova, community manager for Marley Park.

Just as the Heritage Club's Territorial-Ranch style architecture pays tribute to farmhouses of days past, the Heritage Pool House is the modern incarnation of a family barn and swimming pond. Historically, barns were an integral part of the family farm -- serving as a home for animals, a storage area for equipment and an informal playground for kids. The Heritage Pool House combines the wide-open spaces and traditional materials of the barn with modern conveniences, such as wireless Internet access inside and out, and contemporary swimming pools.

Under the canopy of an expansive roof, the main entrance to the Heritage Pool House welcomes guests into a wide-open space inspired by the drive-bay of a barn, where oversized farm equipment would have been kept. Here, a grand fireplace surrounded by cozy seating areas and gathering places serves as the gateway to the multi-purpose room and outdoor pool area.

The multi-purpose room, where families and friends can gather together for birthday parties or other social activities, has a built-in sound system and easy access to the preparation kitchen.

Marley Park's recreational play pool features an accessible, beachfront entry, and measures 83 feet long by 26 feet wide. The lap pool measures 78 feet long and 20 feet wide. Both have a maximum depth of five feet and will be heated for cooler months.

A splash play area and plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, tables and shade structures are nearby. And a fire pit, ramada and barbecue area provide residents with outdoor dining and entertaining options.

"The Heritage Pool House offers a little something for everyone, whether it's splashing around the pool or swimming laps, visiting with neighbors by the fireplace, lounging with a good book, or celebrating a special event with family and friends," said Vescova.

The Heritage Pool House was designed by Douglas Fredrikson Architects and the landscape architecture was designed by Neill/Vecchia & Associates, Inc. It is located in the Surprise, Arizona home development at 13243 North Founders Park Blvd, just south of Waddell Road and east of Reems Road in Surprise.

Marley Park is designed to be a classically styled community celebrating the most valued characteristics of traditional neighborhoods.
