First Bashas' in Surprise, Arizona to open at Marley Park Plaza

SURPRISE, AZ (Oct. 9, 2007) - Marley Park Plaza, one of three commercial corners at Marley Park, will welcome its first shoppers with the grand opening of a 49,000-square-foot Bashas' on Wednesday. The store, which models Bashas' new prototype, anchors the 13-acre commercial center and brings the convenience of neighborhood shopping to the Marley Park community.
The retail center, located on the southeast corner of Waddell and Reems roads in Surprise, is the first commercial component of Marley Park. In addition to Bashas', the neighborhood shopping center includes more than 90,000 square feet of in-line and free-standing commercial space ideal for retail, restaurants and services. Additional tenants are expected to open early next year.
"Marley Park Plaza enhances the conveniences of neighborhood living by providing residents easy access to the shops and services that all neighbors can enjoy," said Dan Kelly, general manager for Marley Park. Like the new homes for sale in Surprise, AZ at Marley Park, the retail center features classic architectural details including stone, brick and wrought iron. Two additional commercial corners are planned for later phases of the community.

Bashas' amenities include a Cub House child play center, a United Drug pharmacy, a fullservice deli featuring Boar's Head meats, a Natural Choice health section, in-store Starbucks, Chinese food to-go from the Rice Garden and a Chase banking center.
