With its flexible, multi-functional design, the Heritage Pool House will give every family at Marley Park the opportunity to enjoy swimming, playing and relaxing year-round. Situated on over 2 acres of land the Heritage Pool House will be conveniently located just north of the Heritage Club and will feature two pools, a lap pool and traditional play pool.
Residents can enjoy a variety of recreational options. This unique gathering place will feature a multipurpose room, outdoor fireplace, barbecue grills, shaded areas and open, grassy areas for friends to meet and play.
The Heritage Pool House is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2008.
The following are a few of the most commonly asked questions regarding the Heritage Pool House.
Will the Heritage Pool House be private to Marley Park residents? Yes. The recreational facility will be limited to residents and their guests.
How big will the pools be? The play pool will be 83 feet long and 26 feet wide; the lap pool will be 78 feet long and 20 feet wide.
What will be the depth of the pools? The play pool will have a beachfront entry and will be 5 feet deep at its deepest point; the lap pool will be 5 feet deep at its deepest point.
Will the pools use a chlorination system or a salt water system? The pools will both use a salt water system.
Will the pools be heated? Yes. Both pools will be heated and open year-round for residents and their guests to enjoy.
What surface will surround the pools? Cool decking will surround the pools.
Will the pools have a diving board, slide or waterfalls? No. The pools will not have a diving board, slide or waterfalls.
Will there be a water play area near the pools? Yes. There will be a splash pad near the play pool.
Will there be a separate toddler pool? No. There will not be a separate toddler pool.
Will there be shade? Yes. Ample amounts of functional shade, both fixed and moveable will be provided.
Will the Heritage Pool House have showers? Yes. Exterior showers will be provided.
Will babies and toddlers need special diapers/water proof pants? Yes. The Marley Park Community Life Team is required to follow and post County guidelines.
What will the height be for the fence? All fence heights will follow Maricopa County pool guidelines.
What materials will be used for the fence? All fence materials will follow Maricopa County pool guidelines.
Will chaise lounges and pool chairs be available? Yes. Chaise lounges and pool chairs will be available.
Will there be a lifeguard on duty? No. The Marley Park Community Life Team will post rules and regulations that meet state and local health and safety regulations.
Will towels be available? No. Residents will need to bring towels.
Will cabanas be available? No. Cabanas will not be available.
Will lockers be available? No. Lockers will not be available.
Will food and beverages be available at the Heritage Pool House? The Marley Park Community Life Team will not provide food or beverages, but residents will be encouraged to bring their own items inside the pool area. No glass containers will be allowed inside the pool area.
Will swim lessons be offered? Should resident inquiries generate the demand for swim lessons, the Marley Park Community Life Team will program accordingly.
If offered, will swim lessons be included in the Community Association fees? No. Swim lessons will be separate from Community Association fees.
Will the Heritage Pool House have a swim team and if so what ages? There are very strict guidelines for pools within Maricopa County. The County does not allow entities to have both a recreational pool and competitive pool. The Marley Park Community Life Team will work with the City of Surprise for programming in this area.
Will there be guest fees? No, and at this time residents must accompany all guests.
Will the Heritage Pool House be open in the evening? Exact hours of operation are unknown at this time.
Will the Heritage Pool House be available for private functions such as birthday parties? In order for all Marley Park residents to enjoy this new amenity, the pool will not be available for private rental at this time. However, the Marley Park Community Life Team is exploring private rental of the multipurpose room.
